See how sms alert compares to other vendors in security performance
The SMS Alert – SMS & OTP for WooCommerce, Order Notifications & Abandoned Cart Recovery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via 'checkoutpaymentplans' and 'orderstatus' Settings in all versions up to, and including, 3.9.7 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. This is a second-order SQL injection: the malicious payload is stored in the 'checkoutpaymentplans' and 'orderstatus' settings via updateoption() and executed later when the codtoprepaidcartnotificationsendsmshook WP-Cron event fires SACodTOPrepaid::sendSms().
The SMS Alert Order Notifications – WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation via account takeover in all versions up to, and including, 3.7.9. This is due to the plugin using the Host header to determine if the plugin is in a playground environment. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to spoof the Host header to make the OTP code "1234" and authenticate as any user, including administrators.
